Refugee Health in General Practice
On 4 & 11 August 2009, the Outer East PCP in partnership with the Migrant Information Centre (MIC), The Foundation for Survivors of Torture (Foundation House), Knox Division of General Practice (KDGP), Eastern Ranges GP Association (ERGPA), Melbourne East GP Network (MEGPN), EACH and Adult Multicultural Education Services (AMES) held Refugee Health Awareness Traning at the Knox Division of GP office in Scoresby. The training titled "Refugee Health in General Practice" was designed to assist General Practitioners and Practie Nurses in the management and coordination of primary health care for refugees, and use of new MBS item numbers for Refugee Health Assessment and to provide participants with information about exisitng services and issues.
