Participateinhealth
The National Resource Centre for Consumer Participation in Health was established in 1999 with funding provided by the Department of Health and Ageing. It aimed to be a national resource for information about, and expertise in, methods and models of community and consumer feedback and participation. The participateinhealth website was established to disseminate the information the Centre collected and produced. In October 2004, the Centre closed due to lack of funding and Health Issues Centre took over the task of maintaining the website.
The Victorian Department of Human Services has provided Health Issues Centre with funding to create a new page on the participateinhealth website specifically for Victorian consumers and health providers. This page is now up and running and contains information about consumer/community participation, practice examples, resources, web links, events and much more.
